Rated 2 out of 5 by DMBrie from Would NOT recommend for outdoors I was so excited and purchased two of these for my new deck, 1 in each size - the description states that it has some sort of "state of the art marine backing" so it doesn't trap water and to be honest it is no different than my indoor rugs. It is basically a sponge that stays wet for DAYS on end. Before a cookout we had I had to remove them from my deck and lay them in my driveway to dry before I could put them back down cause they were still soaked from days before. The photo of this rug on the dock is a tease! While it is beautiful - I would not even come close to recommending this for outdoor use. Indoor, maybe - but definitely not outdoor, unless you live in the desert... I have to roll up the ends so the dogs don't step on the sponge and get my house wet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Amc from Not an outdoor rug The colors in this rug are bright and great; however it’s not an outdoor rug. The backing is rubber and if it gets rained on it holds all the water in! Also, if it got hot the rubber backing will stick and come off onto the deck. I was always running out onto the deck to roll it up or it took two of us to lift the 5x7 over the deck railing so it could drain off and dry, it would not dry on it’s own because of the backing. So by outdoor they mean any place where it’s not open to the elements. I ended up getting rid of it, shame it was pretty to look at!
