Tiles are prearranged on mesh-backed sheets for simplified installation.

Put it on shower floor and a 12 inch wide trim strip on wall. We're using the leftover in a mural in the other bathroom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are great looking tiles with a glossy finish and... These are great looking tiles with a glossy finish and were very easy to work with. Tip: peel the tile off the mesh panel before using nippers to trim any tiles that need to be cut, (trying to trim them while still on the mesh causes them to crack in uncontrolled ways) then back-butter or place them in the thin-set separately.

Actually do not have this tile but feel the need to comment on the two conflicting answers submitted by MSI Support - the first states DO NOT use for shower floor and the second states OK to use for shower floor....... anyone else more than just a bit confused????

We have conflicting answers on whether or not this tile can be used on shower floors. It is very funny, and worrysome, that the manufacturer of the tile is conflicted on its use!! Pity, I then must stay away from MSI tiles descriptions altogether!!

I would use a polymer modified thinset using a V notch 3/16" trowel. Don't use anything bigger with this small tile!

What color grout is used in the pictures?

The grout appears to be a grey colored grout, I would say it looks like a pewter or battleship grey colored grout. However, grout colors and their corresponding names vary from manufacturer to manufacture. Let me state that grout color is a personal choice but, has consequences unknown to most DIYers. In short a darker grout tends to hide minor flaws in improper tile application. While brighter grout can highlight minor flaws in improper tile application, BUT results in a more eye popping appearance. With colored tile such as this I always tend to use a brighter grout to have the contrasting appearance. My customers always like the end result. Remember to seal grout used in wet areas such as showers, this is very important unless you are using epoxy grout. Porcelain tile is ALWAYS vitreous in nature, but the grout is NOT! Seal your grout, the sealers today are much better then what we had 20 years ago. Lots of the modern sealers have microban additives which reduce the chances of mold.
