Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to Build Bought 3 dock sections and they arrived on time just a couple weeks after ordering. The metal frame takes like a half an hour to put together if you have a helper. The instructions are very clear and easy to use. We followed the instructions and bought cedar (from home depot) for the decking. Cedar is more expensive than treated wood but treated wood will wreck your aluminum frame. The cedar looks and smells amazing. We only bought 10 per section but if we had a couple extra boards we could have used them to fill in some gaps. We also got some extra feet so the end of the dock doesn't sit on the shore but sits on the lake bottom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my application These dock frames are easy to assemble and preparing the wood required is also easy. Due to the lake icing over the dock assembly must be removed every year, the wood is a little heavy to move alone but the actual dock frames are very easy and I am 71 years old.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product and even better customer service The dock went together easily with no issues what so ever. We have been enjoying our new dock for 2 seasons and couldn’t be happier. I called Multinautic’s customer service to ask about connecting to an older aluminum post dock to our new Multinautic dock and before I knew it, the agent was sending me bolts I had lost ....free of charge. I’m now a customer for life!!!! Thank you

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Boat dock kit I purchased this with the intention of installing the dock next spring. Product was shipped quickly. And seems to be as ordered. The instructions seem simple enough and I expect little problems installing the dock next spring. I also order a couple accessories through Home Depot such as bumpers for the sides and posts. This was shipped promptly and came as expected

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Multinautic Dock I purchased this product and installation was easier then expected. The one hiccup is that the pre-cut cedar decking kit does not fit in and each board still needed to be cut. All the videos showed the boards fitting perfectly, with no cutting. My goal was to assemble the 4 units myself and have it installed. Unfortunately I had to have a contractor do the cutting and installation of the boards as I did not have the required power saw. The installation into the water went relatively smooth, and I would recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great kit, easy to work with I bought two of these kits and was able to put them together by myself with ease. Because I bought two sections I was able to use 4 poles to assemble the frames and keep them elevated while I cut and put together the cedar planks.

Can these docks be used in deeper water?  I have a drop off at my beach, to about 15 feet.  Thanks, Tom

Asked by: TomCampbell
Hello Mr Campbell, This ultralight dock kit has been designed to be on posts only. Its structure is not made to handle movements created by moor boats or floating sections as suggested by a member of the community. And to clarify the posts lenght, it's 6 ft. My suggestion is to get the floating or fixed boxed dock model QPF-495 that comes in 5' x 10' section.: https://www.homedepot.ca/product/multinautic-kit-de-quai-qpf-495-5-pi-x-10-pi-aluminium/1001030715. Homedepot.ca offers the posts and floats separately. Don't hesitate to contact us for any questions.

Are the deck boards permanently attached or can they be removed in fall for easy dock removal

Asked by: Ray9323
Hello Ray, Only 6 (or 8) screws are recommended to secure the decking panel(s) in place for the summer. They will be easily removed if needed for winter removal and light installation in the spring. But it's better to leave the wood in the frame for storage to allow the structure to keep its squareness even under the snow.

Can this be connected to a floating dock? if yes, what type of connectors should I purchase?

Asked by: sean
HI Sean, This dock was designed to be ultra-light. So, it's not sturdy enough to connect it to a floating dock. Leg holders, connectors, joists…none of these parts are designed to handle waves and rocking boats. There are no articulated hinges on the ends but side plates that attach to this specific dock width. If you want to connect a fixed dock to a floating system (which requires a semi-floating section) our model # 21519, QPF-495, 5 ft. x 10 ft. will be a good choice. It can be fixed, semi-floating and floating. Thanks for asking!

Is this dock strong enough to dock a 20´´ pontoon?

Asked by: Martin
Hello Martin, This stationary dock is installed without anchors so you should not rely on it to hold your boat during a storm, or to protect it from large waves created by other boats. If this is the case, you will have to moor the boat away from the dock. A floating dock is the right choice for a pontoon as it will move along with the moored boat. Aluminum Dock #21519 with floats #14122 would be a good selection. Keep in mind that a floating dock section must be preceded by at least a semi-floating dock. Read the Assembly Guide to plan your installation properly. Thanks for asking as it may help other customers.

How deep do the supports go?

Asked by: Tyler1234
Hello Tyler, The two 6 ft poles will be pounded about 6 in underneath the base plate to have a good grip in the lake ground. It's recommended to keep a few inches above the dock in case you want to do some adjustment during season if watel level changes. Thanks for asking!
