What’s the best base for these. Or base options?

I used pea gravel and it worked great as the gravel settles into the grid on the back side and holds them securely in place.  I have them on a walkway as well as in stairs and they don’t move unless I lift them up to change their position.

How do these secure to the ground separately To prevent moving ?

If you "stomp" them into the grass, believe me, they don't move. It takes walking on them a bit to get them dug in. I find that the grass wants to grow over them at the edges of my step stones and I have to lift them about once a year and then stomp them back down. Some of mine are 5 years old and there is zero sign of wear :)

Is it safe to build a firepit on top of these pavers?

I would not think so; These are are a hard plastic made from recycled tires (I believe). Also these pavers are not very good in general i wouldn’t recommend them for anything.

Yes, because they are black--- but they are also made of somewhat thin plastic-- so if they are in direct contact with the earth beneath they do stay somewhat cool.

I have never cut one but the plastic is quite tough so if I did, I would use a hacksaw to avoid cracking.

Hello, hexagon recycled rubber steppingstone is UV resistant like other product when expose under the sun will fade but not drastically. The product can be place into flat surface like grass, dirt, and sand. Thank you.
