Rated 3 out of 5 by from Eco Trend Flexi-Curve Rockwall I was thrilled to find this product on-line and in-store especially being eco-friendly and made of tire crumb. It has a wonderful appearance and was indeed flexible to install around my curving gardens. The only (but signfiicant) problem I encountered was with the 12"spikes provided which did not perform at all as promised. 4 spikes per length and I broke 3 within the first two sections as they encountered rock, hard clay, and some roots (sooo Calgary). I installed using a rubber mallet as indicated in the video but had to go purchase steel spikes instead. Added cost to the project overall but it looks great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, with some tweaking I used this product today to edge a small newly-planted garden in my backyard. Prior to purchasing, I read several reviews of this product, and others in the same line (different designs). Through these reviews, I became aware of the common complaint that the plastic spikes seem to break frequently, attributed primarily to the fact that the holes for the spikes aren't pre-drilled all the way through the product. Because of this, before hammering in the spikes with a rubber mallet, I fully drilled the holes for the spikes. With this modification, the spikes went in very easily. Out of 20 spikes, I only broke one, and I believe it was because it hit a rock. Admittedly, metal spikes would have been preferable, but it wasn't worth purchasing them and the one broken spike doesn't seem to make a difference. That said, I am an amateur gardener/landscaper (this was my first experience doing anything like this!) and I found the product very easy to set in place, bend around curves, and achieve a great looking result with little effort. The only part that doesn't look ideal is where I had to link two of them right along the curviest part of my garden, creating a little gap where it's hard to make them meet up. If I could do it again, I would recommending starting by being sure to use a full strip along the curviest part(s) and connecting from there. Overall, I am very happy with the result, and am considering purchasing the same material to do a larger area in my front yard.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Holes Not Pre-Drilled - Installation Frustrating Because the holes for the spikes are not pre-drilled as stated there are 2-ways to install.1. - Pre-drill your own holes & then use the plastic spikes provided OR 2. - Buy Steel Spikes & hammer them in & throw away the useless plastic spikes. Once you go through the extra time to pre-drill OR the extra expense of steel spikes the product does the trick & looks good once installed. If you can find another product that has pre-drilled holes my recommendation is buy it & do not buy this product, as of yet I have not found one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect border to elevate the garden's statue Love this product I bought this many years ago and just decide to get more for my front flower bed it is easy to cut with a hand saw and I predrill the hole all the way through with a smaller bit than the plastic nail as I tried to hammer it the first time without doing it and the nail snapped in two. Got so many comments on how elegant and rich it is and holds in the dirt along the cement. So durable and I have had the ones in the back for over 8 years and still look like new. I also have the matching square tiles that I used to fill in a space in my patio that was dirt and it is perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Borders :) Excellent value when you need a garden or lawn edge border. Made from recycled material. Easy to install. Holds up well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Way more expensive than everywhere else Use only to accentuate gardens or to do small areas. Doesnt look terrific on its own unless you have a well manicured lawn. Was $7 more expensive per piece than other stores, but HD didnt run out of them.

Can this be made into a circle? Want to go around a newly planted tree to contain the mulch.

Asked by: mike
It is soft enough to be curved, but not in a tight circle. The joining of multiple pieces might be difficult to secure.

Do the metal stakes come with the border or are they a separate order??

Asked by: JRC1
It comes with plastic stakes that are actually pretty robust.

Can these be cut if needed? My garden beds are already built - just need new edging so may need to cut to accommodate. And if so, what can they be cut with?

Asked by: SDF2
Yes they can be cut. I used a chop saw. If you can’t manage to cut them with a spike hole close to the end you can drill a new hole and counter-sink it to match the factory holes.

Does this product stand up well to repeat use of whipper snipper/weed wacker?

Asked by: Lolly
An edge trimmer should not damage our garden border, however it is not recommended to mow over this edging with a lawn mower.

Hello, We recommend using a heavy duty multy-purpose utility knife, or a jig saw. Thank you!

We do not recommend stacking our garden borders. Please look at our Roman Stone Foundation for this- Item # MT5001301.
