Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lighter Weight but Sturdy Purchased these for a pathway - luckily it is not in a high traffic area as I think a pathway of concrete paying stones would be better suited. Put pavers directly onto the grass and they have held their position. In the spring we will purchase some sand to level them as I don't think gravel would be the right material as it would not allow them to grip as well. But they are good value for what you pay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy installation! These are great for my needs. I wanted something I could lay myself. I also like that they are made from old tires.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Garden edging Works well for what we wanted it for. We used it to edge a couple of gardens for a different look. I wouldn't use it for a patio, they aren't stable enough in the ground.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great enviromentally friendly product Easy product to install. I put down 4" gravel base and 1" loose screening. I just had to pressed the pavers in place and tap with a rubber mallet. Nice to use a recycled product

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not So Simple I made a patio with these 'stomp stones.' First I dug up the area, removed all the small pebbles and made it as even as possible with a slight slant for rain to run off. Then I began to lay the 'stones.' It's not easy getting them at the exact same level, and any missed pebbles or anything can get in the way. When laying in a block formation, you're walking and kneeling on the next row, so when you get to it you have to try to level it again. Anyway, they're okay and look fairly nice with my brick edging. My patio is not perfect, but it'll do for now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for Some Uses but not for Others I bought these this week because of the ease of installation. They are indeed easy to install but no one will confuse them for actual pavers. Once installed they look good, but when you walk on them they feel like plastic and have a lot of give to them (don't feel sturdy). This is fine for where I am using them, which is to cover an elevated area where grass doesn't grow, but the picture in the product listing showing a full sized patio with a seating area is not realistic. Basically they will be great for the right applications but will be disappointing in others.

Can I use these as a base for a Propone BBQ?

Asked by: kiwi523
Stomp Stone may be used under a propane barbeque. We would recommend however that you use our rubber pavers which are also sold at The Home Depot for a more level application.

I have 3 questions: 1) How long lasting are they--what is their life expectancy? 2) Do they stand up to SW Ontario winters? 3) Do you have to prep the area--lay limestone screenings underneath--or just lay them directly on the earth? Thx

Asked by: tld250
Life expectancy is 10+ years. Stomp Stone will definitely stand up to our harsh winters. The tiles have a sharp edge that cut into the ground. They can be placed over limestone. Is it resistant to ice melters (salt)?

Asked by: Francis
Other than leaving a salty residue… there should be no functional effects from salt exposure with our rubber products. A simple scrub w/ light soapy solution and water rinse should bring it back to ‘new’ condition.
