Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible finish that looks streaky and rough The fronts are rough and look horrible after painting. There are streaks that look like it’s not been painted but we did 3 coats! We even tried different finishes and still no good. What a waste of money and labour!! Please stay away from these. I’m sure there are better products that are smooth and look good. I want my money and time back!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wainscott Mirage The undamaged panels are really nice; however, we had a friend pick them up and he didn't check each panel. Several of the panels were damaged and quite dirty.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poorly manufactured, rough and uneven surface These panels are a great idea, poorly executed. The finish in places is rough and bumpy, and neither sanding nor painting will make them smooth. Check carefully in-store to at least get the smoothest panels, but they are all fairly rough. Elegant panels with a very un-elegant look.

What kind of glue do you use on these? Can you use nails instead?

Asked by: Katie
We didn't nail it, we glued it. I am not sure if which glue because we had a family member do it. I am sure it's some type of carpenter glue. If you nail it I am thinking the finishing wouldn't vmve as nice. It has been 2 years for us and we still love the way it looks.

Can this help block noise from neighbours?

Asked by: Tabatijanka
The panel is not very thick. This would not have much impact on noise.

how do I use these to go up a staircase?

Asked by: Zoomcat
Good day, In order to install properly in stair cases, you'd need to find the center of the diagonal an measure towards the ends to make sure you arent left with small pieces at each end and adjust accordingly. Cutting the end pieces and trying to allign the grooves might be a bit tricky but ideally would be to start with a template so you're not cutting an actual panel as your trial piece. Thank you

Does this product have a tongue and groove locking joint at the vertical edges or if not how is this put together seamlessly so that the joints cannot be seen? Is there a procedure for the joints to make them appear as a continuous wainscotting system?

Asked by: Steff
No, this product does not have tongue and groove locking joints. My husband just cut and nailed a thin strip of wood to cover the joints. Send an email to jblitke@gmail.com and I will send you a picture of the finished project.

what is the height and width of these panels when installed?

Asked by: KP266
Hello Krista, the height is 32'' and the width 48''. You may choose to install them on mouldings to make them look higher. A chair rail can also be added on top in order to add a nice finishing touch. Have a great day. Lucie

My wall is 120 inches and we bought 3 panels so now 144 inches of panels. If you cut one of the panels and 1 square in the panel is smaller will it look alright. Or is there a better way .

Asked by: Laur
If you have something in the corner that would hide the cut you probably wouldn’t see it. Another option would be to cut 12” off each end panel so would look balanced. BUT be sure to cut one panel on the right side and the other panel on the left side, so the cuts are on the ends.
