This stove has a variable thermostatic temperature adjustment that keeps the room at a comfortable temperature. It's great for homes but also condos, lofts, apartments and seasonal rooms. I can use it with the heater or without heater for fire place looks of it. Likes: sleek looks: functionality: economically priced : great for small place Dislike: a bit noisy even without usin heater function : the heater element is too low and close to floor which make it a bet of concern about the level of heat and been to close to carpet. This I try to use the low setting to make sure the carpet underneath does not get over heated.

I got home in time to smell the fire starting because a synthetic pillow got stuck under the heater. DANGER DANGER DANGER. THIS SHOULD COME WITH A WARNING! Apart from that its noisy but it heats. Not worth burning down the house. I WANT A CALL BACK PLEASE.

With an adjustable hear dual that will turn the heat on and off by temp while the fire effects stay active. It is warmth and comfort. The fire is the perfect light at night for navigating to the washroom. Might buy one for every bedroom. Replacing the wall heater with this model has also helped to reduce my hearing costs.

A new tenant moves in next weekend though so that'll begin its true test. We turned it on a few times while we were working in the suite and it heated up the space wonderfully. Plus it looks good!

Expected it to give off a bit more extended heat into the room but it is hot when sitting close and will heat more of the room if left on long enough. Overall would recommend this fireplace.

Looks fine standing in the corner and has a phony fire light show when you turn it on. Fan is a little noisy. Doesn't heat a room. Just a decor item.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Could have better heat/fire options Unit is attractive, “fake” fire isn’t all that bad, but the “logic” of the controls is poor. You can operate with fire and no heat, but you cannot use heat only with no fire. This makes it pretty much useless for a bedroom.

What material is the main body made of

The main body is hard plastic but had to go feel it as it looks like metal.  I wouldn’t have known by looking.  The rest is glass.  Obviously where the heater is metal
