Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not compatible with all Napoleon grills I bought a new Napoleon Freestyle last week, and decided to pick up the rotisserie grill basket as well. After setting up the grill, I went ahead and tried to test fit the grill basket. Much to my surprise, the basket could not make a complete turn as it would catch at the grill grates on both the hinge and front clasp. I was very disappointed. I was excited after reading the excellent reviews, to try this basket out. Perhaps I should have chosen the Rogue series over the Freestyle series grill. I will be returning it I guess.

Could you fit a small (3-4 lb) chicken in this basket?

Thanks for your question! Using a rotisserie rod would be more effective when cooking a whole chicken. The basket works best for chicken wings or other individual items. The basket will not work for a whole chicken.

Does this fit on a standard rotisserie spit?

Absolutely! We do happen to have a Napoleon and it fits perfect. Also bought one for my folks who have a Costco BBQ and they love it as well. No issues with fitting their rotisserie. You have to try chicken wings as well as Brussel sprouts or at least a mixed Veg. Amazing!!
