It does a fantastic job at lighting up the whole grill Prestige 500 RSIB. My only request is to add a tilt switch that turns the light off when the lid is closed. I may try to modify mine to add that.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Died after 1 year Works well enough the first year, but having to turn it on and off again every time you go to open the lid is annoying (this could instead be automatic by the product). It's now year two and the light is completely dead. It was covered all winter but apparently can't handle the winter. I've replaced the batteries, trying putting them in backwards (in case I got it wrong), no good, it's e-waste now.

Once three batteries are inserted, closing the door is almost an impossibility without cutting your fingers or...breaking off the metal conductors on the underside of the door. ...I did both. I'm sure it's a great BBQ light and I'm going to ask my Napoleon dealer to replace it but there has to be a more simple way to engineer the battery door. This isn't good enough for a premier product from a premier brand.
