This Bluebird house is constructed of sturdy Western Red Cedar. Interior horizontal slits near the opening allow Bluebirds to escape the house, should a Sparrow fly in. The side is easily opened and closed with a stainless steel hook. The hole size and interior dimensions are correct to attract bluebirds and tree swallows. House should be placed on a 5 ft pole in the open as bluebirds are ground feeders. Bluebirds are still endangered and need everyone's help to bring them back.
