I understand. Do you think I can solve the problem by adding an extra battery package Model# HS800-00  Internet# 203510994 to increase the capacity?

Asked by: Omega
No. because that will increase your capacity, and not increase the maximum output of the inverter, more than 1800W. Check your batteries to make sure, tthey are fully charged. Call Nature Power tech support at 1800-588-0590 for any more questions.

Hi. I bought this unit to operate an 8 A / 120 V gate opener but it does not work. It seems that the load is too much for it. If the output is 1800 watts as advertised, it should easily handle a 1/2 HP motor, about 1000W. It gives out E003. Suggestions?

Asked by: Omega
An E03 error is an Inverter output has sensed overload or short circuit and was shutdown. The solution would be to Check the load connected to the output. and Reduce load and restart the unit. However, in this case, every AC power appliance has a surge power when it first starts, Normally, twice the Continuas Power rating. In case of power tools, lefts, or pumps. it could be up to 3 , 4 or 5 times the continuas power rating. check your machine with other appliances that are less rated. Please feel free to contact Nature Power tech Support Line at 1800-588-0590 for any more questions.

What is the maximum solar panel size and number of panels needed for the fastest charge and the average price of the panels? What is the operating temperature of the battery?

Asked by: Neil
you can only use 1 panel at a time of maximum of a 100W each. no more than 100 watts because it has an 8 Amps charge controller , it can only handle up to 120W of solar Panel. To be on the safe side use 100W panel, average price is about $200. operating temperature is at an overage of 77 F.

How do you use this as emergency backup for a house? Do you have to plug things directly into it? Or does it plug into the household system somehow?

Asked by: Rebecca
This is a stand alone generator , you would have to plug appliances directly into it, it does not plug in the house grid system. please call 1800-588-0590 for any more questions.

After this unit is charged by plugging into an outlet how long does the charge last if it's not used to charge anything.  For instance, could I charge it fully by plugging in to an outlet when I have electricity and can then use when power goes out?

Asked by: Terry
Hi Terry, yes this product works great with your scenario. Leave it plugged it and fully charged and when the electricity goes out it will automatically turn on so you can use it to power devices.
