It Can be recharged by plugging into ac outlet, solar panel or wind power. I've used this to power a drill, charge my cell phone, tablet, run my refrigerator, you name it. Many uses for Nature's Generator and a great backup for power outages. Peace of Mind knowing that if the power goes out that this item will be able to keep my home essentials powered up. It is a heavy item but mounts on a cart with wheels and a telescopic handle for ease of manuevering. Nature's Generator also has a replaceable battery too. I highly recommend this item.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for quite, potable use. Works as advertised. Neat the way they have this packaged. It’s great that it’s just charge and go; nothing to wire or build to get it working. I feel this is a good buy, depending on your needs. Great for portable use, however, for a more permanent use, I’ve found their are better, and less expensive options out there. I purchased the generator and pod together; you have the option to expand by adding more pods, but, as I said before, there better, and less expensive options available. I was disappointed, and this is clearly on me, that while viewing the details on the HD website, that I missed where it mentions the cable for the solar panels are not included. I have some being shipped.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gives me piece of mind I've owned my Nature's Generator for a few years. I haven't needed it often but it saved my refrigerator full of food twice! I just received the power pod for it, as I suspect power outages may increase and wanted a little more time /power . It was very easy to attach brackets and secure to the rolling stand with the included hardware. Charging is easy: connect the generator to the extension port of pod ( comes right out the back) and charge generator as usual ( wall AC or solar panel). They both charge at same time with just one plug. Great product.

Wish some of the screen readouts were laid out differently (solar input in watts rather than amps & battery charge level could be shown without disconnecting solar panels. Overall a great product & very happy with it so far.

If the need arises for movement to somewhere else, the Power Pod & the Earths Generator can both be moved as quickly as that thought passed through your mind!

After 13 months of research, I pulled the trigger on the Nature’s Generator System. Now with two months of operations, there’s zero buyers’ remorse. Easy install from the solar panels to the power pods. For my sole power source I’m extremely happy!

Yes if you have it connected to the generator and its wall plug.  Otherwise you can charge it using solar panels.
