Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value! This is a great griddle at a great price. With four burners going it heats up very quickly. You can then turn down burners as you wish to control which areas need the most heat. Each burner can be lit independently! This is a big deal and not offered on some of the more expensive griddles. The rear grease removal is exactly where it should be leaving the front of the griddle for cooking. I should have purchased the optional top when I got mine because it needs one when you put the cover on it. I made my own out of wood instead. You will not be disappointed with this griddle, it's a lot of fun to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nexgrill flattop grill Works really well, I wasn’t sure whether you need to clean it all of the way to factory condition. I chose not to, so it has a permanently dirty kind of look to it. I am going to do some research on how thorough you need to clean the grill. Overall I am very happy with the flavour and consistency that it produces, make sure you season after every use with a healthy coat of cooking oil.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great griller but miss having a lid. Love grilling outside. A great time saver when cooking large quantities. Downside it has no grill lid with handle like the 720-0786A.... Why not? The lid would double as a back splatter guard as well as keep outdoor dirt and bugs off gridle. Yes we could purchase a 70" vinyl cover for the entire grill but the underside would get sticky from the grease on the gridle.

Large size griddle to accommodate multiple meals or meals for large parties! You will definitely enjoy using this product! Only negative is that I barely use my bbq grill any longer except for grilling steaks. This griddle top is solid!!

The one very disappointing fact is that it is advertised as a barbeque with a griddle. There is in fact no barbeque at all. I purchased the product online after going to the store and finding out they did not stock them so I was not able to view it in person first. In the specs it suggests the grates are made of stainless steel, furthering the thought of it being a barbeque. I have seen other models that have a barbeque below the griddle. I believe the advertising is misleading at best. I have suggested they remove the reference to it being a barbeque. Online support seemed to agree and offered a refund. I kept the griddle because I wanted a griddle however I now also have to purchase a barbeque. I notice at the time of writing this review that they have not changed their advertising. I guess it was just lip service from the online support. Live and learn!

After seeing ours 2 of our friends did have purchased.. to bad no referrals fee available from Home Depot. ? Is there a steel cover to go over grill before putting cover over it?

We bought a cover for it and made sure to clean it properly after use but it seems that is not enough, the griddle is already rusting. It would be nice if there was some sort of protective cover for the griddle to ensure protection from the elements.

How well does the flat top need to be cleaned? I’ve been using it for about a month and it’s almost black. I clean it with a scraper and apply a healthy coat of cooking oil, but should I be cleaning it to the same as factory condition?

Scrape and wipe excess grease off after each use.  Wipe down with a paper towel and spray with oil before use.  Mine is black too.

Does this griddle convert to Natural Gas

No. Doesn't covert to natural gas. Gas and propane require completely different delivery systems

why does the NexGrill Model # 720-0786 not come with a griddle lid and handle the same as the NexGrill Model # 720-0686A which costs less than 0786? Shouldn't all outdoor cooking areas come with a lid? Cooking area gets very sticky.

Cannot answer why it doesn’t come with lid we purchased separately. In regards to being sticky treat like the old cast iron frying pan keep oiled. We r very happy with ours actually 2 of our friends purchased as well after we got ours.
