We just received it about a week ago and it's already showing signs of wear despite not having had anybody come through that door yet. It still looks aright and it will do its purpose but there are already little frayed parts coming up from the braids like the ends weren't tucked in well. I have been retucking them as I see them but it is far from how nice it looked when we first laid it out. Unfortunately, it's the only natural fiber rug I've found that is thin enough to fit under my door without getting caught when the door opens so we are keeping it.

I searched for the right rug in person and online for several weeks before purchasing this from Home Depot and couldn't be happier. I was nervous this would be too scratchy underfoot but since it was in the dining room I decided to purchase anyway, once it arrived it was so soft and comfortable I am going to get one for our bedroom as well. The braided jute makes it very versatile and it could be rustic or elegant depending on the setting. Looks very nice, adds a lot of texture to the room, and protects my wood floors.

The rug is very well made and is even more beautiful in person then in pictures! I am using it indoor in front of my sliders leading to the pool. For sure this rug will do the job keeping my wood floors nice and not damaged by in and out traffic. I was kept in the loop at all times when they sent me confirmation that my order had already shipped. From the time I ordered it took less than 5 days to receive it. I followed the instructions how to address any folds as a result of being rolled up and folds went down quickly. Totally recommend ordering from this web site.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought the 6x9 after I bought the 6x9 after purchasing the 4x6. I love them. They're a good texture. I recommend getting the mat underneath especially for the smaller rugs if it's not going under something sturdy. I eventually put the smaller one under my bed and the bigger under my couch. They smell like dirt when they first arrive. If you can open the windows for a day that smell dissipates quicker. Otherwise, expect to smell that for a few days. The braids might fray and become "sharp" - just shave that down with scissors. The price was phenomenal. Shipping was great. Came packaged very tightly and when promised. I will only buy rugs from here.

I didn't notice any weird coloration, fraying, or stitching issues like some of the other reviews mentioned. I also haven't noticed any major shedding, but it just sits under my table and isn't in a high traffic area. My only complaint is that it smelled like mildew when I opened it. Like it had been sitting in a damp warehouse for a while. I let it air out outside in the sun and the smell was gone within a couple hours. For the price, this is a great rug and I don't have any regrets about my purchase.

Unfortunately, this rug looked great upon arrival and has quickly begun to literally unravel. The stitching has come loose or is nonexistent in several areas, and the outside border has already separated. This is happening in an area with moderate traffic, and with the majority of the rug actually covered by a sofa, two arm chairs, and a cocktail table. Very disappointed in this rug overall. The look of the rug is great, which is why I still gave it two stars. Had I not had previous positive purchases, I would have given it one star.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice looking but fragility The color of this rug is beautiful. It’s more of a royal blue then the picture online. It’s exactly the size, style and color I wanted. Just FYI the rug is made of individual braids that are stitched together. Some of the seems holding the braids together have come loose. I am able to repair them but I would say for the average person this rug may start to come apart fairly quickly with regular use. I like the rug and am able to hold it together but I wouldn’t buy this one again. If you need a large area rug, go for something with higher quality. If you need a smaller rug this one would work out okay in an area with very little traffic

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Entry Rug Living in a climate where it is winter for 6 months out of the year, I was on the hunt for the Perfect entry rug for what seemed to be Forever! I wanted something lighter in color, as my floors are dark. Something that would withstand 3 young boys, 2 dogs and constant traffic going in and out. I read the reviews on this wonderful Jute but still was nervous it wouldn't fit under my front door. I went with my gut and gave it a shot and I am ask glad I did!!! It is thick but not too thick as my door Glides right over it with no problem. It's easy to keep clean and I have no doubt it will withstand our crazy house ;) Arrived much quicker then I expected as well! I would and already have recommended this rig to others! :thumbsup::type_1_2:

No there'a no other backing material; it's the same jute material on both sides. I actually reverse it sometimes.

I have owned it for almost 2 years I think. I vacuum it once a week. I have also used a little bit of Clorox 2 stain remover for clothes, some water, and a towel to get some hot chocolate out-cleaned right up, no problem. You could use a carpet cleaner on it if you wanted to.
