Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't Work For More Than A Few Minutes At A Time Tried this at 10 feet with an intervening wall, at 20 feet with clear line of sight, then 10 feet with clear line of sight. In all 3 cases, the video & audio would work fine for a few minutes, then the screen would go blank for a minute or so and there would be no audio, then the video & audio come back. It repeated this pattern many times until I gave up and took it back to Home Depot.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn't cover the distance The product sounds great. I had high hopes this would solve some issues with two TV's and my PS3 and cable box. Both of which are located in my basement. So we're not even talking about 50 feet to transmit. I even email Nyrius about the issue before I bought this unit to see if it would solve my problem. Their response: "Thank you for your inquiry. If you TV is upstairs and you PS3 in the basement, if the distance is not more than 100ft, it should work perfect, I had a similar setup at my home and it works great, because the NAVS500 has Zero Latency, it works as if you are in front of the PS3." I had a follow up question about the remote extender, their response: "The IR remote extender is a adapter that comes with the unit, basically, as you mention it, it will allow you to use your remote control while the device is in another room. So if you have the cable box in the basement and your TV upstairs, you can be able to use the cable box remote upstairs to control your cable box." So I'm feeling pretty confident that this is going to solve my problem perfectly. So I bought it. Followed the directions to a T. Didn't work. Unhooked it and try again. Didn't work. Just to make sure that it wasn't a faulty unit I hooked up my laptop to it and went in the room next to the upstairs TV. This worked fine. I walked around the house with it and it worked fine until I started going downstairs and then I lost the signal and it couldn't reconnect. (we're not even talking 50 feet away from the receiver.) I contacted them about this and did get a response: "Thank you for your email. One think we recommend you to try is, if you TV is two floors up, try to connect a device from the first floor to you TV upstairs, if this works, could be a material in the basement is interfering with the signal. Usually, between rooms, the walls do not have materials that can interfering with the signals, but in between floor, depending on some materials, maybe hard wood or metal, can create interference and the transmitter and receiver are not able to communicate." So I wouldn't say its a dud. It worked fine as long as everything was on one floor. So not a one star. My problem is though I asked from the beginning if it would solve my issue, and was told yes from day one. Look I can't give it more stars because it didn't do what it was advertised to do. Couldn't even reach 50 feet. Floors were the Nyruis NAVS501 kryptonite. Well my house has floors and I plan on keeping them. Yes I returned it. If you are a one level home this might solve your problem, but think about it if your plan involves two floors.
