Install the ODL 14 in. Tubular Skylight to help bring natural light into an interior space. The energy-saving skylight provides the light output equivalent of five 100-watt light bulbs. The skylight features an acrylic dome and an easy-to-clean diffuser. Designed for asphalt roofs, the skylight comes with the hardware needed for installation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extreamly Underwelmed If I hadn't already had the roof flashing installed as part of a new roof installation, I would be returning both of the kits I purchased. Purchased two of these kits, total pieces included three top pieces and one bottom. During the manufacturing process, the inner protective film was layered into the rotating joints making it almost impossible to adjust the angle of the tubes. While trying to rotate two of the tubes, they disassembled. What has been a three hour job has now taken 8 hours and I am going to have to make at least one more trip to the retailer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic tubular skylight The amount of light this product lets in is unbelievable. It is way better than the old square skylights. It not only gives to my bathroom(no light necessary during the day), but also extends the light to my hall.

We had to take out bathroom window for new shower when we remodeled our bathroom and was absolutely blown away by how much light this skylight brings in. Lighting we installed above vanity does a great job, but when lights were off the room was a dark cave. Now when I walk past the bathroom I find myself checking the light switch thinking I left it on because how bright the room is now. Even on a clear night there is noticeable light from the moon and stars being pulled in. Well worth the money!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Choice For Adding Interior Lighting In a cramped attic space, this can be an interesting project. However, by following some simple concepts for proper alignment almost anyone with some handyman experience can install a couple of these in a day. Professional installers might be a better option if you are on a tight schedule. The box it comes in does not do a whole lot to protect the contents, so you may spend some time having to straighten out the metal tubing from bends and dents. Rotating the sections to achieve the needed alignment for the light path from the roof dome straight down to the ceiling lens opening will be much easier if you completely remove the protective film from the grooves where they join. When we peeled back the film, it didn't come out of the grooves so we had to separate the pieces completely and rejoin them after all of the film was cleared away. We also used a long paint roller extension pole for a quick reference to see how much to rotate the tube sections to get the alignment we needed - much quicker than eyeballing it and following repeated attempts with guidance from the person on the roof. The amount of light that these added to our inside corridor is amazing. It completely transformed the look of our house and I no longer trip over the cats as I walk down the hall in the morning. I can see them in the clearly lit hallway now. Another benefit that was unexpected is how it extends the daylight period in the house -- when it is getting dark outside and very little light comes in through the windows from the sun going down over the horizon we still have about an extra half hour of light coming inside through the light tubes from the diffused light high in the sky. I haven't seen that feature mentioned in any of the product literature.
