Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent product Decent product that did the job as required. First time using these. They are solid and sound. Only problem was with some excess cement in one of the channels that made it a little hard to get the board to sit level.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Concrete piers. They are what they are a concrete pier. However I have used them before and they are the best invention and the quality is excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Deck blocks not for decks. Don’t use this instead of sono tubes of concrete or foundation screws. Donor build decks with these. I used mine to make a raised garden bed.

How much weigh deck block can support?

Asked by: Jacob_a
The deck block will support as much weight as you would out over a post on a deck. Make sure to prepare the ground to receive it, by removing tip soil and adding compacted gravel to allow for support and drainage.

I am planning to build a 26'x16' deck and 2 ft. above ground. This deck will not be attached to my house, how many 4x4 concrete deck blocks I'll need ? I am in greater Ottawa region.

Asked by: Jamie
You should always refer to your municipality when constructing a deck. They will be able to tell you the maximum square feet allowable per block as this may change from region to region.

Does this 4 way Deck Block SKU # 1000405029 hold 2X6 or 2X8?  If it holds a 2X8 laterally how much wood would be exposed over the concrete?

Asked by: Crazygoose
remember not to have level. if supporting a deck. make sure not level. Slant ever so slightly AWAY from your house. you want the rain water to go away. not run back towards the house and into basement. first time dont have to worry about level.Years back my Dad said what are you doing had level trying to make perfect. Then told me this . Did not no this. a tennis golf ball should run away from house on deck. if its rolling towards house ; so will the rain water.

Can the blocks be place directly on the grass or should the grass be removed?

Asked by: Hardman
To have good drainage, I would recommend you remove the grass around the block and add some gravel under them just so they do not sink.
