Looking at brown panels and wondering how long colour will stand up without fading? Can it be painted if fades? Thanks Ray

Can this material be cut? If so, what do you cut it with?

Hello Bobby, Thanks for your interest in our ONDURA Premium Series panels. ONDURA® panels may be cut with a utility knife with a hook blade when parallel to the corrugation. Use a hand or circular saw with a plywood blade or fine-tooth blade reversed with the colored side down when cutting across the corrugation. For best results, mark with chalk line or soapstone marking tool and use lubricating oil on your blade when cutting. Can i use this product as a roof for a 10 by 12 gazebo by fastening to the metal frame only with no wood under it ? or will the wind rip it away? Any suggested product to increase the tensile strength at the fasteners to reduce the risk of ripping away?

YES u can attach it to a metal frame! We installed our over a metal tube frame car shelter. I used plumbing metal pipe fasteners u shaped, and layer the sheets so 2 or more ridges overlay each other. Drill holes thru the layers to insert bolts and screws. Ours works well!

garage is 24 x 21  how many panels needed

As a general rule,with overlaps included, each panel works out to 15 sq ft of roof coverage. So 24 x 21 = 504 sq ft / 15 = 33.4 or 35 panels or so... However, you can end up using a few more depending on how the rows work out and whether you have to use more than half of a panel on the last row. You also have to overlap the roof edge at the bottom by an inch or inch and a half. These are excellent panels, and if properly installed you can expect to get 30 years or more use from them, even in windy areas.

I want to install this under my deck so my walk out basement won’t get wet when it rains above. Is this product water proof?

Its held up fine in our area of plenty of wind/snow. I wd install it on top of trussed plywood sheets. We love the performance of these panels, theyre not too heavy and easy to handle and completely waterproof. I wd definitely buy them again!

Lost my plastic panels that were similar in design due to hail. Does anyone know how well these will hold up against hail damage?

these panels are a little heavier than asphalt shingles, and very strong. We occasionally have very large and heavy barrages of hailstones here on the prairies, and at one year in ours show no damage. I have just ordered more to replace our garage roof. We are more than happy with these panels.

I want to use these for a lean to patio cover Can these be mounted directly to the roof joists? Will they need more support given that the Great Lakes region can get a lot of snow and ice?

They wd b fine for that. You could mount them onto tubular metal, thats what i did for a car hut, works great, or onto a wood strut/beam. make sure you have enough wood slat supports underneath them; i overlapped mine for extra strength. when the snow was more than 6 inches deep, i raked it off a bit. no bowing or cracking. i really like mine; its great.
