Can i use these hinges for an interior 20min fire rated door?

The load capacity of these hinges as written doesn't make much sense. 45 pounds for 3 hinges? A good quality exterior door weighs more than that. It is 45 pounds of closing pressure? 45 pounds for each hinge?

How durable as exterior hinges are they. I wish to use them on an exterior tool box in the back of my truck. Can they handle the weather.

Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. Stainless steel hinges are significantly more rust resistant than a regular mild steel hinge. That said, it is impossible to predict the lifetime. The weather is much different in Arizona than it is in Nova Scotia (for example). The life of the hinge will vary depending on much contact and exposure will the hinges have to the weather elements such as wind, air, direct sunlight, temperature changes, humidity, maritime environment, etc. If rusting is a concern, priming and painting the hinge will dramatically increase the life of the hinge. Would two hinges be okay for a door under 50 pounds?

Hello, Thank you for your interest in our product. This hinge has been tested to support up to 150 pounds when using 3 hinges. For a door of only 50 pounds, 2 hinges should be sufficient, though you will either need to decrease the tension or use one spring hinge and one regular hinge to avoid slamming.
