The Door Saver II hinge pin door stop is simple to install, looks great, and is made of strong carbon steel for long-lasting reliability. Its ultra-low-profile design replaces the hinge pin to create bumperless protection for doors and trim. The split wedge at the bottom prevents the pin from lifting or "working up" due to use. It has multiple adjustments to create the perfect stopping point which can be re-adjusted quickly and easily. Designed for 3 1/2 in (89 mm) and 4 in (102 mm) residential door hinges. Ensure a minimum of 1/2 in (6.4 mm) space between your trim and the hinge barrel.

  1. Bumperless design eliminates damage to doors and trim: the door stop does not come in contact with the door or door casing
  1. Installs in seconds: simply remove the old hinge pin, insert the Door Saver II in its place, and adjust to the desired angle
  1. Can be adjusted to the following angles: 22.5°, 45°, 67.5°, 90°, 112.5°, 135°, 157.5°, 178°

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Concept great. Product need improvement The concept is great but how they work is not. We ended up returning these because they have little notches for you to select where the door should stop however one notch would have the door hitting the wall and the next notch over would have the door stopping 2-3 feet from the wall. It worked in a few select spots but with 90% of the doors it would leave them open at a very awkward location. I do not recommend these.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great idea but no too long for normal hinges. plus it uses the door trim to stop door. This causes damage to the trim.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth buying. Did not work. Threw it out and went a different route.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, if installed properly These are great, they use the hinge itself to stop the door, IF installed the right way. It's easy to mix up the pieces and get it backwards, then it hits the door and trim to stop. If this happens, pull the pin out, separate the 2 pieces and put them back together again, takes a few tries to figure it out but worth the effort and confusion!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Better than nothing, far from perfect From other reviews I gathered it works but leaves some to be desired. I needed these for my interior garage door and gave them a try. I started with using one which quickly broke when the door swung open. I then used the next 2 on the same door and they are still holding up after a couple months. Yes they will stop my door from swinging open and hitting a cabinet, but like some others have said they aren’t flexible for adjustments. Yes they are adjustable, but in my situation the closest settings are have the door open less than 90 degrees into the garage, or the next notch setting has it opening another 10-14” which would hit my cabinet. So far still using it and it is working, but I wouldn’t recommend as I’m sure there is a better solution out there. Cheers

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost works perfectly, not quite Hinge stop works good, except for one important consideration. One cannot place the stop exactly where one wants it, so you are left with only certain stops to work with, which makes the door stop either too far away from the wall, or too close to it. They need to better explain that you cannot fix the stop just anywhere you want it...so, ours is too far away from the wall, which makes it awkward entering the room

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hinge door stopper Very easy to install in a couple of minutes. Easy to adjust. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 ⭐️ was because there are not enough finite settings in the adjustments. You get to a point where one setting is not enough and when you go to the next setting it’s too much.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Just spun in hinge I needed to limit the opening width of a patio french door that kept swinging into the deck railing. I tried this, but it just spun in the hinge, chewed up the door jamb, and pushed the door out of alignment. Now I have to repair and repaint the door jamb. Not happy when a DIY project turns into more work due to damage from an attempted fix.

How many should you use on a door? Is one enough?
