They have the pipe/hose for them? Doesn’t make any since to carry half of a sprinkler system? Sell the tube/hose/pipe sell the fittings also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only product I'll purchase from box stores I have used Blu-lock exclusively for 10 years in the industry. We build swing joints for our sprinkler heads using these products. Blu-lock products are the only products that I will purchase from Home Depot, that allows me to stand by for my personal irrigation company. Many manufacturers have different quality parts that are sold at Big Box Stores that are not the same quality as what I get through the distributor. That being said, I have not encountered that with the blu-lock products. in 10 years I have never had to go back to a job for a failed fitting, and my old boss, has been installing them longer than that. If you use this fitting, it must be used on new Poly pipe. I have had zero issues with leaks when using this with 1" 80# NSF pipe. However, old pipe that has been in the ground for a decade or so, may not fit perfectly without slight leaking. Best to use the insert T fittings with pinch clamps for that. Use this product, with a Blu-lock street elbow, 6" blu-lock swing pipe minimum, and a double elbow blu-lock fitting on the end. This allows for vertical and 360 degrees of horizontal movement when installing your sprinkler head. If you run 1800 series Rainbird pop-ups, get the street elbow x 1/2" male threaded elbow fittings, if you install the 5000 series pop-up rotors, you need the 3/4" male threaded elbow. To do this correctly, unlike most lame irrigators who refuse to get with the best technology, you want that double elbow under your head. Regardless of what I have provided about how to properly build a fitting, you can rely on Blu-lock fittings to effectively repair your sprinklers.

It does not fit on 1/2 inch black poly tubing. Aggravated that I have to make another trip to HD to get blue tubing. Product should clearly state that it has to be used with only blue tubing.

Can I directly insert Orbit's 4 in. Eco-Spray Head into the 1/2 in female opening without Blu-Lock sprinkler pipe?

Sam, sprinkler heads (such as the Eco-Spray) are pipe-threaded, so you can't directly go from a Blu-Lock connection to a pipe-threaded sprinkler. If this is the tee that you already have installed in your system, then you will need to connect as follows: Blu-Lock tee's 1/2" end --> 1/2" Blu-Lock pipe --> 1/2″ Blu-Lock 3X x 1/2″ MPT Swing Joint (#31985). You can then attach your sprinkler to the end of that elbow. Can this be used with green eco lock 3/4 pipe

I contacted Orbit and they confirmed Blu-Lock and Eco-Green pipe and fittings are compatible with each other. They are NOT compatible with other types of pipe.
