Can the product be used on fruit trees? To fight gypsy moth caterpillars or aphids?

I have used it on a pear tree to good effect but also, used with a mix of (Dawn soap - vinegar and garlic powder. Two tbls of each with water. shake well and apply with hand sprayer. I also spread chilli powder at base with fertilizer>
