Rated 5 out of 5 by from Attic baffle project I used it for several spots in my attic that were missing a baffle. Installation of course is a challenge as all attic work is difficult. But I was able to get them started in place. The material is light and breaks easy. That can be a benefit as much as a curse for attic work.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not very flexible. There are better options. The end flap is not very bendable, because of the creased design. If you try to bend it at too large of an angle, the whole vent will just crack everywhere. These were not usable for my application. If you watch the ProCat video for these, they only bend them at a very small angle. Most attic soffits require a much larger bend. Not worth the cost at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best I have found I have tried others, but these are the best rafter vents to my mind. They are thick enough that they will put up with a lot of bashing around - which is important if you are retro-fitting them through the soffits into an existing attic structure. The other brands were thinner and more prone to cracking under any pressure.

Hi, is it necessary to tuck mineral wool pieces around and over the vent? Will the vent get clogged if I don't do it?

Hi, If I have 14 inch cavities (between studs) is 12 inches sufficient? or would I have to cut them to 14 inches?

Why does the installation manual say &quot;Use coated roof staples ( 3 ∕ 8 max.)&quot;? Coated with what? Galvanized? Why? And why the maximum length of staple? Thanks!

Hi Noland, you will want to use coated or galvanized staples because there is always the potential for slight condensation on the underside of the roof deck, especially for metal. The maximum length is to prevent the staples from going through the roof deck above. Thank you for your inquiry!

I have a cathedral ceiling with a continuous ridge vent and the roof peak. The pitch is 12/12. There will be space above the R40 insulation. Do I need to run these vents from the soffit to the peak in between all the rafters?

&nbsp;At the minimum you should use this product for cathedral ceilings. &nbsp;Start at the top and step your way down to the soffit. &nbsp;This does two things. It prevents under high wind loads fluffing the insulation into the Air cavity and if there's any leaks (in the product zone) it will channel the water to drip out through the soffit and not saturate the insulation causing other problems.&nbsp;

How many are in a package?

I have an attic that is a very large space. I use it for storage. How many are in a package, and do I need to do the whole ceiling part of the attic?

These are not packaged but sold as individual sheets. They are perforated down the middle. So, I your rafters are 24&quot; apart from centre, then you would use the entire sheet. If your rafters are 16&quot; apart at centre, then you would cut down the middle perforations and end up with two. In Canada, most roofs are 24&quot;
