The different colors that you can control from the remote is very handy. The heater provides enough heat for the area it is installed. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to update their fireplace or if they are in the market for a new one. It is definitely an eye catcher and everyone that sees it, raves about how amazing it looks.

Can this unit be installed in a 2x4 wall 3 1/2 studs? Does it require intake air flow from behind an enclosed wall when recess mounted? Would you recommend a 20amp dedicated circuit or just 15amp?

Yes, it can be installed in a 2x4 wall but please double check the specs before starting your project. Wall opening for the 50" Mirage Electric fireplace is W41”x H17.5” x D5”. It can take intake air when recessed mounted. It works best with 20amp but 15 amp will work too as long as it is dedicated.

how much power does this draw? Does it need to be on it's own circuit?

The unit draws up to 1400 watts. A 15 Amp, 120 Volt circuit is required. A dedicated circuit is recommended but not required.
