The Double-Wide Watercraft Bunk Lift measures 10 ft. wide by 8 ft. long and has a lifting capacity of 1200 lbs. The lift includes eight bunk brackets to add two pair of wooden bunks (lumber material not included). This manual lift is an excellent option for raising your compact pontoon boat, paddle boat of PWC ft.s up out of the water for dry storage. The Double-Wide Watercraft Lift uses stationary legs on the shore end of the lift that are set to the desired raised height while the lake end of the lift is supported by aluminum screw jacks that raise the rear of the lift to the storage position. Operate each jack incrementally to raise the lift up to the storage position. Includes manual hand crank or the jacks can be operated using a cordless drill with 3/4 inch socket driver.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor construction and design I purchased the double wide PWC lift to hold one of my sea doo’s. The lift came quickly, but several fasteners were missing from the package so I had to order them from Patriot docks to complete installation. Once completed the lift was difficult to level in the water as the legs are not self levelling. The mechanism to raise and lower the lift did not work well . A cordless drill was not strong enough to raise the PWC out of the water. The lift also does not seem terribly stable once set up and the welded pieces which hold the lift legs are not welded on very well. I found this out the hard way when I drove my sea doo on the lift for only the fourth time and the back leg completely broke off of the frame! Very poor design and construction. Do not buy this lift! It will only cause you problems. I have returned the lift and purchased a new one with a 5 year warranty from an established dock and lift company.

I see that the bunks are lumber that has to be bought separately. Would 2 x 4s work? Would a 100 foot length be enough?

Hello, yes 2x4s work. Most customers use 2x6. The length would depend on your watercraft but 10' is the most common size.
