Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't do it The green ones were used on staircases that my work had built 3 years ago. After only 3 years , every single screw has reacted with the newer treatment used on lumber and corroded causing rust stains to bleed into and discolor all the wood. At first we thought that it was due to the mixture of salt and snow being forced into the boards by peoples boots in the winter, amplifying the speed of deterioration... However , every spindal on every rail has done the same on the top and bottom. Both where a screw was located. These brown ones are even worse than the green ones too , You just can't tell as easily cause they're almost already rust colored

Rated 1 out of 5 by from dont be screwed ! cheapest Chinese screws ever made Paulin has a reputation in Asia for pushing suppliers to offer minimum quality and meet lower and lower prices by exploiting worker safety programs my 2 year old was snapping these screws in half like potato chips and they were stripping out everytime they hit a knot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Frustrating for joining two-by material I bought these screws and I returned them. They have 2" of threaded shank, meaning they will not pull together two pieces of two-by material, as the 1/2" of threads in the one piece binds up. This is also not specified in the product description. If this is your application, don't buy these screws.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong and Versatile! I bought this along with the 1-5/8 screw for DIY projects at home and very pleased with the performance. It is strong compared to other screws that I bought before, the color complements the wood. The saw tooth feature proves to be very useful when driving it directly into wood without pilot hole.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Low quality I used these screws on a floor in a shed. Quality control on these are terrible. 15% of the screws were unusable and made the project frustrating. The coating inside the head where the bit goes has burrs. Not to mention that the price of these are way to expensive.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality deck screws. These deck screws are poor quality. We had to back some out and they broke halfway. In contrast screws from 17 years ago that we were removing, had very few breakages. Go figure.

Can you use these screws for interior framing for a basement finishing? Or bulk heads?

Asked by: Brad90
I have used these screws to frame a none supporting wall and bulkhead in my basement. They are outdoor deck screws designed for harsh exterior conditions. As for framing a structural wall, you would need to follow your local building codes.

Are these good for use on cedar? Or should I go for stainless steel screws?

Hello. These brown deck screws are approved for ACQ-treated lumber. For use with cedar, properly sealed wood is required to prevent potential surface damage. Thank you.

Would these screws work well to fasten 2x4 and 2x6 rails to 4x4 fence posts? My fence is cedar not pressure treated.

Asked by: matt85
I had used almost two boxes of the screws (1000pcs/box) to refinish my old deck last year. I used them for pressure treated lumber. The screws worked well into lumber and they don't make wook split.
