These prevailing torque lock nuts offer excellent vibration resistance and positive locking under severe shock. The nylon collar prevents liquid seepage. Compressive forces exert constant friction grip on the bolt and prevent loosening. Nuts may be reused. Use stainless steel where corrorsion is and rust is of concern or in exterior applications. Best for general hardware use or where high strength is not required
