Would these work well on 1/2" Clap Board siding?

Asked by: MrTee
Hello, part # 416-573 ( 1-3/4" HDG box nails ) could work well on a ½" clap board siding. But we suggest that siding nails are better. Siding nails are made for siding board. Both the box nails and siding nails are made of the same carbon steel. And both of them are hot dipped galvanized. So both nails are the same strong and durable. The one difference is that the shank diameter of box nail is thinner. The other difference is that the head of box nail is a little larger.
