Bought and installed approx 200' of fencing two years ago. 1st winter had to replace 2 rails (bent almost 30' from the snow pack. This past winter 5 rails need to be replaced, which in turn bends and contort the chain link mesh... Getting quite costly to maintain the fence every year.

Are both ends shaped like the one shown in the photo? Can they be joined by a "1-3/8 in x 6 in Galvanized Steel Chain Link Fence Top Fence Sleeve" as recommended in the "How to build a chain link fence" parts list (below item J)?

No...I believe only one end is shaped like that. They can be joined together end to end without needing any additional hardware or sleeves. That being said, you might be able to use a sleeve to join it to something else or to join 2 of the wrong ends (opposite ends of the one pictured) together if needed
