Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chain link fence A little flimsy with the posts in the ground without concrete. I did cement first and last posts, but would recommend cementing all of them in.

If I have to install my posts 4 feet into the ground so that they are below the frost line, are these going to be long enough for a 5 foot high fence?

Asked by: Steve
Hi Steve, if the requirement in your area is a depth of 4' then you would need a 9' post to achieve this. These posts are just over 7.5 feet tall so this wouldn't quite be enough. We recommend double checking the frost line in your area. Thank you!

This post can be set in concrete and support 5'x6' chain link driveway gate without sagging?

Asked by: patrick
I think I have seen such a gate supported by this fence. The supporting posts may have to be fixed deep enough (~3-4 feet) with good amount of concrete, I guess.

Look online for 3rd party manufacturers of post extenders - you may have some luck.

Can you use a post driver to install these post?

Asked by: Marcus
Hello Marcus, Yes, a post driver can be used to install chain link fence posts. When using a post driver to install chain link fence posts, it is important to ensure that the posts are properly aligned and spaced before driving them into the ground. This can be done by using string lines, marking stakes, or other methods to establish the correct position for each post. It is also important to use the correct size of post driver for the posts being installed, as using a driver that is too small can damage the posts and cause them to become unstable. For more information you can contact us at +1 (877) 883-7325. Thank you.
