Rated 1 out of 5 by from Peak 36 inch Mountain View glass panel My husband and I were installing the glass railing system. We are almost there. Today, we try to adjust the spacing between the glass panels and two glass panels exploded in front of our faces when we try to lift up one glass panel. A big bang and we were shock to see two panels shattered in front of us. I called Customer Service at 4:30pm and no one answered the phone. Guess the office closed? We had high expectation of the product and so shocked. We are wondering if the panel that we tried to take out is defective because a week ago, we noticed a corner was chipped. Assuming it was our fault, we have been extra careful handling the glass. Somehow, the panel next to it exploded at the same time. Right now, we cannot back out from the project. Think twice before deciding to install glass railings.

Great delivery service! The panels were exactly what I had expected and price was much better than any of the available alternatives. I found them easy to install and they created the clear railing we wanted to finish off our deck addition.

As is stated in the title the thickness of the glass 12mm? The reason why I ask is that it states in the product details that the Nominal Depth (in.) is .63 which equals 16mm? So which one is it 12mm or 16mm thick?

Can these panels be installed with only the spigot hardware? or is the top rail mandatory?

I strongly recommend that it is installed. It gives the glass rigidity across the entire railing. The top rail is almost invisible when sitting on the deck.

what is the thickness of the glass panel? I am looking for 0.5 inch (14mm) but I only see 8 mm specified).
