Simplify the task of installing fences and other posts with our heavy-duty steel ground spikes! Choose from the Adjustable Ground Spike or the non-adjustable Ground Spike. With no digging or pouring concrete required, our ground spikes make fence or post installations less cumbersome - your back will thank you! To install, simply drive the post spike into the ground and attach your wooden post to the top box. Ideal as post support for low-height privacy fences and picket fences, mailboxes and more. This Ground Spike includes pre-threaded bolts and self-locking nuts for quick installation. Constructed from heavy-duty steel, the Ground Spike will provide you with the sturdiness and durability you need for your posts. Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's ok but my set was missing a nut and bolt! One of the spikes was missing its nut and bolt. It's deep enough to be secure in holding up a post...but not completely stable. I am able to twist the post attached to one of these a bit side to side.

Can I secure the spike to my post FIRST and then drive the post with attached spike into the ground? I am able to dig post holes that are about 26 inches in depth but the frost line is lower than that. So the idea would be to extend the depth of the post.

I am considering using one of these to put a 6.5-7 foot 4x4 post with a private parking sign on it. Will this suffice?

bolt tightening

Post was installed correctly and bolts tightened but post wobbles a bit. How tight should I make the two bolts. Will making them tighter help steady the post?

Hello, some tightening of the bolts should help, however in the event that the post isn't square or warped you can consider some shims. Thank you!

Hello, Would theses work to help secure a small arbor? I might want to move it in the future and don't want to concrete it in. Plan was to make a square/rectangular structure with 4x4 posts and lattice. Might grow a climbing rose on it eventually.
