Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Construction Bought the longer model of this (approx 7ft.) & was impressed with how solid it is. The stem is 1/2" solid steel. The extra tine on the bottom is removable. The decorative ornament on top is cast metal and removable to allow driving the unit into the ground.

Does the height include the stake part that goes into the ground? How tall is it above ground?

With the hanger fully into the ground the distance to the top of the stake is 53”. The hook for hanging is obviously a bit lower. From the ground I measure that distance at about 48-49”.

Weight

How much weight will this shepherd hook hold? The last hook I bought was not strong enough to hold the flower basket I wanted to hang from it. Thank you
