I am on my second Perky-Pet® Evenseed™ Squirrel Dilemma (model#104) feeder and plan on replacing it with a third one. The feeder is really nice and the birds love it. I found that using safflower seeds discouraged squirrels (they don't seem to be interested in safflower seeds) yet the birds in my area love them. The metal enclosure, plastic roof cap and hanging wire are very sturdy. I do have to mention a couple of cons about the feeder, though. The clear plastic inserts must have high stress points at the box corners. The reason I typically replace these is because of cracking at the corners, usually at top edges. Also, with so many chambers, cleaning the caked on seeds is a little tedious. Once, I had to rescue a bird that trapped it's head some kind of way. I had to physically maneuver it's head to set it free. For ~$25 to $30, this feeder is well worth the money spent and usually last me 3 to 4 years, sometimes longer.

It is a pleasure to see the birds throughout the winter

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not One Bird! We've been avid birders for nearly 50 years & have a dozen feeders around our yard as well as different types of houses, birdbaths, pond & waterfall. We'd used a 3 cylinder feeder & liked the fact that you could attract different types of birds to it by filling it with 3 different types of food; but weather took it's toll over the years. This feeder got great reviews so we decided to try it. It's been out for 3 weeks & not one bird has eaten from it. We just purchased a two compartment feeder & the birds were eating from it the first day......same types of seed. The quality seems fine.....the birds just can't seem to perch on the cage portion to eat from the openings where the seed collects.....no perches. VERY disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible product If I could give this product no stars, I would. Not Only did the squirrels get to it, but they broke 2 of them. I also received 2 of them already broken. Such a disappointment and a HUGE waste of money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Happy! I have had two of these feeders over the past 15 years and find them very easy to keep clean & to fill, attractive to the birds and the best part is that the design keeps all the food from dropping to the bottom of the feeder. I was very happy to find this replacement at Home Depot for such a reasonable price after my last one finally kicked the bucket and was no longer rehab-able. Picked up at my local Home Depot and paid $0 for shipping. Very quick order delivery to the store and I had my new feeder up within a week.
