I have everything installed and am presently sealing concrete board for tile installation. The handle looks good and was surprisingly heavy duty in todays world of cheap products.

does the trim kit include the mixing valve? If not, which model is required?

No it does not, there are two different diverter valves that can be used with this trim, 0153WDX or 015IWDX. Please see your Home Depot special order counter to order these.

Pfister model # 016dt1y would need a separate in wall diverter valve model #015-IWDX two way handheld or showerhead options (not both), #015-4WDX three way handheld, showerhead or both at the same time.
