The lever handle is very hard to turn and is not smooth at all, and the valve is extremely loud when mixing hot & cold. So loud that I can hear it in the next room and it scares me awake in the morning when my wife takes a shower. I called Pfister and the solution was to send me a new cartridge, its been a week still nothing. I call them and they say it finally shipped and it could be another 7-10 days. 3 weeks it may take to fix a brand new product, I call that horrible customer service.

We knew that most kits do not come with excellent pressure so we were expecting to replace it anyway. We purchased 3 kits and are so far happy with them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We love this showerhead [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had selected the Cantara sink faucets for our bathroom. There is no Cantara shower faucet but the Saxton faucet is very nearly a match. I installed it with the 0X8-340A valve body which allows the water to be shut off at the shower without shutting off the water to the whole house if the valve cartridge needs to be replaced and I liked that feature. The handle is very solid and the rain showerhead is wonderful. The showerhead arm raises the showerhead above your head unlike traditional showerhead arms that angle downward and tend to point the stream of water at your chest. My wife really appreciates the fact that she can now rinse her hair by looking up instead of having to bend over backwards to get her hair under the stream of water. The large showerhead puts out plenty of water in a wide stream of raindrops. I don't like showerheads that only put out a mist of water and this showerhead conserves water and at the same time allows you to drench yourself. Customer service was very helpful in answering questions before I purchased this product.

My husband loves the curved neck because it adds more height. I am overall pleased with the functionality of this shower set. You will not be disappointed.

But if functioned near perfectly. I called them up and explained what happened and asked if I could purchase a replacement handle. They told me it was a known issue and gave me several replacement options. This was my favorite. It was completely free of charge and this faucet works and looks great!!! I will never buy from another company based on customer service alone. Their products are fantastic as well!!!

Not getting hot water

My contractor installed this product and a new value that was not a Pfister but he believes is compatible. The hot water available is plentiful throughout the house and we never had a problem with hot showers until this set was installed in our new tub. We occasionally get the super hot water to run through, but most showers are very warm at best and the handle is all the way down. He says he doesn't see anything inside the hardware that could be "turned on" to improve the hot water flow. He checked our hot water tank, etc. Please help!!! We miss our hot showers and it's cold in NY this time of year!

Pfister Model # R89-8GLY is the outer trim of the valve. If the situation is occuring with the function of the flow or temperature of the faucet and it is not a Pfister brand, the manufacture of the valve may need to be contacted for further support.
