Rated 4 out of 5 by from An excellent product with a couple concerns This is a product that gets 5/5 for the idea and 4/5 for the execution. I absolutely love the ability to switch colours over the course of the day. Even better, you don't need finicky and insecure "smart bulbs" to do it. All three colours have their own use and really make a difference in the tone of the room. One feature that is not mentioned on the packaging is that if you flip the light switch three times fast, the bulb will reset to the "soft white" colour. This is very useful when you have multiple bulbs in the same fixture, since sometimes they go out of sync. Two concerns: (1) The quality is questionable. I bought nine bulbs and two of them failed within the first two months. Thankfully, Home Depot has replaced them. (2) One minor nuisance. The colours switch in this order: soft white -> daylight -> warm glow. This is a bit annoying because the natural progression of the day would be daylight -> soft white -> warm glow. The result is that you're switching the light bulb on and off much more than you really ought to. Overall, I would recommend the bulb.

Soft 2200K for evening when we are on the computer. Bright 5000K when we are drawing up plans or choosing colours and shades for clients and standard 2700K for regular daytime tasks. Highly recommend!

How do you switch between the different light settings? App on a phone or remote?

The lights is controlled by means of turning the light switch on and off to switch between light colors. Simply turn on for soft white, then off and back on for daylight, then off and back on once more for warm glow. Bulb will remember you color choice and will turn back on to the last color it was on.

Re: Philips LED 60W or 100W A19 SceneSwitch Colour (2200K, 2700K, 5000K). One of the ceiling fixtures has an on/off switch and dimmer. Can I use this effectively in any A19 socket....eg. ordinary table lamp and ordinary ceiling fixture?
