We usually add one compressed hardwood sawdust brick and one small real wood log and it burns for 3 to 4 hours. Very good flames, amazing heat output. Very satisfied.

Nonetheless they are much better than the charcoal lighter sticks that I bought from you that don't work at all. I will be returning them as soon as Covid permits me to.

Can you use this to barbeque with? As in bbq meat over?

We DO NOT advise cooking food over the open flame of Pine Mountain or Java-Log firelogs. Combustion coming off a burning firelog doesn't present a concern when the fire is properly vented but burn-off from the firelog can contaminate food making it undesirable to eat. Some firelogs contain wax derived from a petroleum byproduct adding another level of concern. We highly recommend using our Roasting Logs to cook over. Hopefully, this information is helpful.
