Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality Purchased this wood for a commissioned sign I was asked to create and was disappointed with the quality. It’s very apparent that the wood has been stuck together, and not well. Some spots were very rough and even after sanding I was unable to make the wood completely smooth which ruined the look of the grain altogether. The top was chipped and again, with sanding, it would just chip more because it’s cheep, particle wood. I would not recommend this to use for art projects. Even to purchase as a basic shelf I’ve seen better. I was also very disappointed with the order online and pick up curbside option. When you get an email to say it’s ready for pick up, customers should not have to wait 55 minutes for someone to bring it out to them

I had no issues working with these boards. They were easy to work with. Had them clamped, routered, and cut and sanded. Had no issued with the boards breaking. I might suggest picking the boards in store to ensure you get the best quality boards as there are some in better condition than others.

One of the 8' boards was cracked, all were warped, most had machine marks every 2 cm for the entire length , deep holes where knots broke and several areas where wood splintered from the middle of the board. Expensive garbage.

WIll this wood ever be smooth? I am thinking of geting an orbital sander. This wood felt rough out of the package and I already gave it a light sanding with 120 grit but still super rough. Is it worth geting the orbital sander?

It is for storage in your garage or basement etc. I don't think this is meant to be a smooth for decorative purposes.

The product's best face surface could potentially have two to three small sloughed knots (or "holes") based on the grade standard and characteristics of furniture pine shop. This product is suitable for use as the top of a desk.
