The slats are manufactured from HPL (high pressure laminate), which is guaranteed to last a lifetime. HPL is the most durable and long lasting material available for bathroom and shower seats. The mounting plate is designed to line up existing 16 on center studs. This means no opening walls to mount a safe and beautiful shower seat! the load capacity on this seat has been tested for use up to 450 pounds, exceeding ADA load capacity requirements.
