Rated 4 out of 5 by from works well depending on your situation I bought two of these in store but when i went back to get two more i had to order them on-line. No big deal, but the massive box they were shipped in was ridiculous. This product works well but that depends on your specific A/V setup

In the advertisement you mention power for both TV/Sound-bar. Where is the cutout for cables for the sound-bar. It wouldn't make sense to hide wires for TV and you can still see wires for the sound-bar. Please enlighten me on that. Is the sound-bar Power Cable compliant. Do we just cut A hole foe that and run power, not sure how that works, also didn't see any reviews for installation of sound-bar.
Asked by: MR1958
You will either have the wires exposed running under the tv to the soundbar (which keeps your home legal) or buy a single brushed pass thru and run the power and HDMI through it behind the soundbar up to the box behind the tv. That’s what I did. It looks amazing, but isn’t up to code.

can this be mounted above a fireplace while the outlet is about 4-5 feet to the left of the fireplace?
Asked by: DWills
If you can fish the cables near the outlet I would say yes. I would be careful how close you run the in-wall power cable to the chimney. I would keep far away from heat!

Can this be used on paneling? I want to put one in my basement but the walls are only paneling (no sheet rock) so I would like to know if the clamping mechanism tightens enough to hold onto the paneling?
Asked by: Eve
The kit requires a surface to secure it to after the opening is cut out to accommodate it. If you cannot recess the kit in the wall, then it won’t work; however, if there are studs supporting the paneling with the depth needed to mount the kit flush, it should work.

What's the easiest way to thread the cables through the wall?

Asked by: Bobby
There are many ways, one is Home depot has fiberglass rods for that or you you can use a conduit fish wire or a long stiff wire. Hopefully your wall doesn't have fire blocking which is a block that goes from stud to stud
