Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unable to start after 1 use... This mower is about 10 days old to me. I used it the day I bought it for about an hour. The rear "striper" flap fell off during the initial use. No biggie I thought, dont really need it myself anyway. But, I went to use it a second time and will not start. Have pulled 50+ times and have given up. Not happy. On the plus side, it's the lightest mower I have ever used, by far. Oh, stickers will wash right off with the hose too :p . I'm hoping something is done about the no start at store level... it could be super light all it wants but it's still a $250 giant paperweight at the moment...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy this make of Lawn Mower Bought this mower in September 2020, cut grass with it once. Had a lot of problems getting it to stay running the following year. It would start and run for a few seconds and then cut out. Eventually got it to run after lots of priming. Cut grass only 5 or six times last year. This year had same issue and eventually got it to run, cut grass once during which when you turned the mower quickly it would smoke and stutter for a few seconds. Went to cut grass for the second time and it won't start and then locked up completely. I have tried emailing and calling customer support but they do not answer emails or pick up the phone. Don't waste your money on this, buy a decent make from a reputable manufacturer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad I followed the instructions to the letter and the lawn mower did start on the first pull and ran rather well. However, as other people have stated, the flap in the back tucks itself underneath and pretty much stays there, so I plan on taking it off since it's doing nothing anyways. Also, the gas tank is smaller than I expected. I have a fair sized yard that takes me just over an hour to cut and I nearly ran it dry. Also, their website is broken. Not everyone is available to call you guys between 8am and 4pm for service or registration. Some of us work days! I'd like to register it just in case I require warranty some day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT PURCHASE - THERE IS ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE We just purchased this for our home a couple of months ago and have used it less than a handful of times. The first few times there were no issues however we recently tried to use the lawn mower and it does not start up. PowerSmart warrants that this power tool will be free from defects or workmanship for 3 years after date or purchase but their customer service team has not replied to my email. I have tried to call their customer service line on 3 occasions. The first two times I gave up after 40 minutes on hold without speaking to a representative. Today, after 1 hour on the phone of waiting, it transferred me to voicemail. DO NOT PURCHASE.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wish I could choose zero for a rating I purchased this on June 5th for a property my company is renting. After 2 uses, it no longer starts and one of the bolts to hold the handle have fallen off. I got it back to the store 32 days after purchase so was unable to return. I contacted the manufacturer and was told to drain the fuel and clean the carb. I informed them that it was brand new fuel put into it at the first use. Fuel doesn't go stale in a month and I have never, ever had to drain fuel from a mower in my life. I have not heard back from them, and it has been about 2 weeks since I emailed them. This will not deter me from shopping at Home Depot, but I will never purchase this brand of mower (or any power equipment) again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from There is a reason why it doesn't cost much I have used it three times and can tell it's a cheap machine. The rubber baffle in the rear is so long it gets stuck under the mower. The baffle is attached by three plastic pins. The first one broke on the first I used it. By the third time all the pins broke. I replaced them with metal bolts. If you buy this unit do that before first and save some time. It is hard to start. The first time no problem. After that you have to pull it many times go start it. The gas tank is small and if you have more than 5,000 sq ft you will run out of fuel. Again going through the restart issue. The oil dip stick doesn't lock in and pops off during use. You could loose it or run it over. It sounds tinny when running. I don't expect it will last very long

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nothing smart about this lawnmower! I bought the mower two days ago and today is the first time I used it. It has 170cc's??? That's questionable. I spent most of the day unclogging the grass collector I've driven V6 engines that are better on gas then this lawnmower. The best part of the day is when I was bringing the mower back in the yard to be stored and the front wheel broke, like what the hell I know I didn't pay a $1000 for it but you expect to get more than a day out of it. I wouldn't recommend this lawnmower to anyone and I think it is going back asap!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Power smart lawnmower I cannot understand how people can negatively review this unit. If you can’t start it…. Read the instructions. It pulls too fast. Don’t get a self propelled unit. Dies after a few uses. Read the instructions and do the maintenance. Owning a lawnmower is not rocket science regardless of model. If you have a legit issue, contact the manufacturer and if they don’t respond, phone a professional before posting crap reviews that discourage others when an issue can likely be narrowed down to user error or in extreme cases manufacturer default. This unit is solid and far superior to my past mower with a Koehler engine that I had for 13 years and did little maintenance. Don’t listen to negative reviews to choose a lawnmower because people aren’t educated. A lawnmower isn’t complicated and a bit of research will help educate you on what to do. This unit is awesome if you know how a lawnmower works. Educate yourself and don’t listen to people that aren’t educated

It is not clear, in the description, is this a self propelled lawn mower or a push mower? The description does not state it but the specs say rear wheel for drive type.

Asked by: Bman2000
It is a push

Has anybody got warranty on this? I am starting to think it isn't going to happen.

Asked by: bill
If it's a 3 year warranty, how do I get it to work. I have registered the product and reported the issue. We are paying someone to cut the grass while I'm getting ignored about any warranty work for a machine that will not start.

When I raise or lower the wheels does the lever adjust both left and right side or does it just raise the right side of the mower?

Asked by: farrgl
Thank you for your question about the Powersmart 21-inch 3-in-1 Gas-Powered Push Mower. There are two levers, and the each one raises the axle and deck height. One for the front wheels, and one for the rear wheels.

So it seems there is not Sth. like the "idle" of the engine, as soon as I release the start/stop handle, the engine stops, then I have to pull the start cord to start engine again? is that correct that's way it works? Thanks

Asked by: Alan
Yes, I've got the same one. Once you release the handle it will stop. If you want to keep it going, you'll have to keep a little pressure on the throttle/handle
