Home Depot was amazing taking it back and giving us a new one at the end of the season. Fired the new one up this week for spring....5 mins in...self propelled system broke. again home depot was AMAZING took it back with a store credit. Time to buy a named brand that lasts.... #buyerbeware

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Operation This lawnmower is very heavy and difficult to turn around. A powered mower should make cutting grass easier. I think the problem is due to the powered wheels being at the back of the lawnmower. Our old mower’s powered wheels were at the front. It was easy to maneuver. I wanted to return it, but didn’t think Home Depot would accept it, seeing as it had been used. I thought I would get used to it. I’m 70. I don’t know how long I’ll be physically able to use it.

I have reviewed the comments from the buyers and noticed the main issue of this mower is related to the self propelled . Just wondering if the the self propelled function can be overrided and using push only.

Hello, and thank you for your question about the PowerSmart 22" lawn mower. The self propelled function is engaged by using a separate lever than the blade control. This mower can be used without using the self propelled function.

I just purchased this machine, and I didnt receive some parts.. namely the bolt to put the handle together, the side discharge cover, and no manual. how do I obtain these?

Nice lawn mower but the self propelled feature is way to slow can this be sped up a little? Would changing wheel size help this?

Hi Brian, and thank you for your question about the PowerSmart 22" lawn mower. There is not a way to change the self-propelled speed. Changing the wheels would not help. If you put larger wheels on, they would make fewer RPMs but at the same speed. If you put smaller wheels on, they would make more RPms, but again at the same speed.
