Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Product Don't waste your money. I have had it for 2 years and every time I use it, it breaks! literally. I have changed belts and other parts, but it keeps breaking down.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy Bought this Feb 2019 used it once, had trouble getting it started. I tried starting it the end of 2020 and it won't start. I contacted home depot, and they can't do anything about it, contacted the company and the only way they would fix it, is if it isn't related to maintenance. We have tried all of the troubleshooting in the handbook.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Powersmart 22inch I would not recommend this blower at all. First time out of the box and the drive belt broke during a white powdery snowstorm. Replaced the belt 2 more times after that. Absolutely frustrating. We had no snow last season. Weather report indicating snow in two days. Took it out of the garage and removed the top. Fresh gasoline added but upon start up gasoline was leaking on all sides of the tank. Absolutely terrible. Just gave it away for free and bought a Troy bilt from home depot. Hope to have better luck. You get what you pay for. The quality of materials is terrible.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Piece of Junk I bought this blower couple years ago. I started it first time this January(2020) and it is trouble to being with. It does not moves forward or backward properly. It does not throw the snow far enough. Engine makes firing sound. I called the PowerSmart company and surprisingly they refuse to do anything about it because it now out of warranty. I will call Home Depot and see if they can do anything about it. I will never by any PowerSmart equipment..

I have the older version of this snowblower with the LCT 208 engine, but essentially the same snowblower. For folks that have changed auger belt that then either slipped off or broke again. Please make sure that you have the belt completely on the auger Drive pulley but most importantly you need to push the auger tension pulley inward, so that you can make sure the belt slips in between the auger Drive pulley and the auger brake. When you push in the auger tension pulley, it lifts the auger brake up, so you can slip the belt in onto the auger drive pulley. If you neglect to do this, you basically have the belt on resting on top of the auger brake, thus it will then slip off and or burn/break. Here is a youtube video that can help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-9omAWHmVU Once you install the new belt you need to also re-adjust the auger belt tension adjustment too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-i8faKbTRc This is because as your belt was wearing out, you were also adusting this, so that it had the proper tension or your snowblower would also of clogged when dealing with wet snow too. Also you should check the alignment of the belt using this video. This is another cause of slippage too and early wear and tear of your auger belt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRqh3XvIhcQ&t=1s Otherwise I have my Powersmart snowblower for 3 years now, and with proper maintenance it has always worked perfectly.

In early March, I purchased gas from a gas station and added it to the unit. It would not start. I had to deal with Powersmart tech support who ultimately had me send it in for service. They determined it needed a "tune up" and the gas was bad. The gas was purchased within 2 days of it being poured into the snowblower. So I paid $450 for a snow blower that I was able to use twice and then had to pay $100.00 to have it repaired because it wasn't covered by warranty. So basically, you pay $450.00 for the right to use it and then it costs $50.00 each time you need to use it. I would stay away from this garbage.
