Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Design - Don't Buy Luckily I only paid $599 for this garbage. The chute will not adjust from side to side unless you do it manually and physically. The chute is pressed hard against the main body with zero space. Also, the actual hardware that throws snow seized up as it contacted the bolt that holds the lower assembly of the chute. Had to remove one bolt in order for it to spin. TERRIBLE DESIGN - DO NOT BUY unless you wanted to remove parts to make it work, and manually adjust the chute.

I installed the chute correctly and it doesn’t rub. So I seated it properly.It actually throws greater than 40ft. Lights are awesome! Adjusted the front sled feet until I had the correct setting. Make sure you install and adjust the cords and wire pulled correctly and your auger blades and throttle will work great. Overall, There is no beating the price of this unit for the power and options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beast mode Bought this pre-assembled at Home Depot in Rockland MA yesterday before winter storm Kenan dumped 24" in our neighborhood today. Just finished 3 hours of non-stop use in snow drifts that were 30+ inches (6" taller than the unit). The Powersmart performed admirably in 15 degree weather all afternoon. Refilled the gas tank after 90 minutes of clearing my three-car gravel driveway. Then plowed-out my three neighbor's cars. Everybody is happy and safe.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I would have rated it less than 1 if possible. Out of the box, the chute control did not work properly but that wasnt the worst. Primer bulb had hole in it and poured gas from center of it. The actual gas tank had rust at the top and when i drained the gas out I had put in it, it was filled with rusty flakes and sediment from bottom of gas tank. I sent the company an email for tech support and the website wouldnt allow me to register it for the warranty. Never could talk to a live person at powersmart. Home Depot's customer service was AWESOME through the ordeal.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Customer service issues. I am connected to a very large group of people that have had similar issues to me contacting customer service and getting any response. I have called their company several times and waited for hours on hold and no one ever came to the phone. I sent several emails to them and they don't respond back. One person said they actually talked to somebody and they sent a link to them which was supposed to help with a service issue because it was under warranty this particular snowblower item and the link was new sales and that was it. Worst company ever. Don't waste your money on any of their products.

Took the plastic cover on the bottom off and half of the fly wheel dropped out......looked like it had been cut with a laser! Needless to say I had to get the shovels out. Returning this piece of junk to home depot tomorrow. I wonder will they give me my gas money back LOL.

It was packaged very well and my husband said it was easy to assemble. We have a good sized driveway and can't wait to put this to use this winter. We may even help the neighbors with their driveways as it looks like it will be a lot of fun to use!! Highly recommend. One super cool feature is that it has an LED light. Now we are prepared for the winter months!!

Can you use a standard heavy duty extension cord for the electric start or does the one you sell have a power regulator in it. Don?t want to burn out the starter.

Does this item come preassembled

Basically.... you have to put the handle and wheels on and connect two wires that control the auger and wheels. On another note I took mine back. The flywheel broke in two after using it for 5 or 10 minutes for the first time. Would not recommend ?

What is the warranty on it ?

The warranty is 2 yrs for consumer use of the snowblower from PowersmartUSA.com. You will need to register your snowblower and make sure you have a copy of your dated receipt as well. It is a limited warranty and service areas may be far away too.

Can this be used on a gravel driveway?

Yes, this snowblower can be used on gravel driveway. You will need to adjust the skid shoes to raise the mouth of the snowblower up so that it will not dig in or pick up the gravel. Instructions are available in the manual or via Youtube videos.

What is the minimum snow amount in inches this blower can be used for.

I would say you could use it for less than 3 inches, but would that be most effective. I usually don't run my two stage snowblower like this one if less than 3 inches. For 3 inches or less you can consider a single stage snowblower.
