Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality Control missed this one First time snow blower owner I live in remote area and rent my landlord sent this snow blower to me Model # DB7624E Store SKU # 1001134126 quality control missed this one: the starter switch was inside the machine and broken called 1 800 sent very quickly to me a new starter switch... being in northern Ontario I was disappointed the wheel chains were not included as the snow blower does not do well on slippery ice surfaces maybe chains on wheels may have made a difference. Also the electric extension cord is awkward to plug in if the 3 prong plug for the extension cord came out a bit more that would be great so I bought a short extension cord I leave in all the time and wrap the extra cord around the handle and tie securely for safety. Also the book should specify for northern communities tire chains recommended at time of purchase and not specified in instruction book, I will have to travel to a Home Depot location with the instruction book to make sure I order the proper chains about $80 if come with machine would have helped a lot as I am in remote area female who never bought a snow blower before but I must say is easier to manage than I thought if I chose another snow blower I would make sure it has turn left and right this one only goes forward and back so sort of have to drag to left and right....... also snow shoot handle that slips on came off, and I turn the snow shoot with my hand as the turning handle is hard to turn........ would I recommend this product maybe to a man experienced with snow blowers. Quality control missed this one

Rated 2 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for Used twice and the auger belt is already whining under any type of load. I wasn’t expecting much but I hoped I’d get one season out of it before having to adjust/change a belt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powersmart snow blower purchase. The machine arrived a day after I ordered it on sale. After a little assembly, putting oil in the engine and filling the gas tank with the best gasoline I could purchase at a gas station, I pulled the start cord twice and the engine started right away. I let it heat up for about 10 minutes and tested it lightly for about another 10 minutes. I then shut it down and used it during a snow fall. Good machine.

I have this snowblower arrived today, after installation, I found 4 sets of 1.5 inch long Bolt and Nut left. I don't know where I should use them. Because of this, I dare not to test run the snowblower. Anyone have the same problem?

What is the target "throw distance in feet" for this Snow Blower? What is the minimal distance that will qualify it as "defective machine" when warranty kicks in? My purchase could not even throw snow 1/3 width of my driveway, making the machine useless

    Asked by: Disappointed customer AW
If snow is very wet that may be your issue. I have bought one but have yet to use. Also the discharge chute needs not to point down

Does this machine require a battery or electric cord to start

    Asked by: blackie
It can also use a AC electric ( regular power extension ) cord to start if your do not want to pull start the gas engine. In our experience, the gasoline engine is easy to start if you set it up correctly according to the manual, usually it starts within 3 to 4 pulls cold.

Re: Powersmart snowblower, model # DB7651SL. What type of oil or grease s/b used for the gearbox, or is it greased for life? Any written maintenance/or instructions/or video will be greatly appreciated because I cannot find any info re this.

    Asked by: Ash 27
I believe that the unit is lubricated for life, however, some times people have to service their own units for peace of mind. If you wish to service this gear box, get a synthetic EP1 or 0 to do the job. Remember not to over fill the case as this will create more problems than it will solve.
