As I was packing my dishes on the first roll I kept getting little shards of glass in my fingers. I had no idea where it was coming from as I haven't recently broken any glass. It didn't occur to me that it was in the paper until I bought a second roll after using the first one was gone. Sure enough, the tiniest slivers of glass were getting into my hands. I used rubber gloves (all I had on hand) to pack the rest of my things and will also use gloves when I unpack. Even with tweezers the glass is so tiny it is extremely difficult to get out, and it tore my hands up. Super annoying, and very unpleasant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simplify your packing You want to pack your kitchen in 1/2 the time, then you've chosen the right stuff. Not to thick you can't work with it. But thick enough it will not tear. It isn't just the best for packing you every day dishes, and good china. The best part is when your unpacking kitchen dishes, glass wear etc., You can just put them away. No washing, the paper may be recycled, however it less expensive and keeps your items as clean, but easier to work with.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good idea, but poor quality I bought this packing paper after using up a pack from the competitor. This is a lesser quality. Some sheets are newsprint-type paper, which is what I was expecting. But some seem to be the thickness of tissue paper, which is definitely not what I want. With the thinner sheets I have to double-up to get the same cushioning. I am very disappointed with this pack of packing paper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from To prevent "casualties" I am in the process of preparing for a job transfer, and am packing up the pieces of my collection of 1920s-1950s dollhouses and all their little furnishings. Each must be wrapped individually to move safely, and the crease down each page of the product helps in resizing to fit the need. $50,000 of miniatures later, I am proud to say it cost only $200 in paper--and I had paper left to fill the empty spaces whilst packing up dollhouses as well. While I'm sure your needs will be different than mine, I am sure you will not be disappointed with either the size or the thickness of each sheet.

Well paper is pretty much paper except when you need to pack things for a short transport and short storage period. Newspaper sucks - the print rubs off and gets everything filthy. The Pratt packing paper from Home Depot was a good choice for me; it was inexpensive and the sheets are large enough that most were cut in half or even fourths. It also is easy to rip right down the middle in a good way - scissors just keep getting lost in all the boxes and packing material. If the outer plastic is removed properly it can be used to store the remaining paper in to transport back and forth if needed. The next time I need to pack items for moving I will get more of this paper.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Did the JOB This Pratt Retail Specialties 70-Sheet 24 in. x 24 in. Packing Paper protects the surface of fragile items from scratches during storage and shipping. The paper is made from 100 percent biodegradable... I've done many a moves with the military and usually a moving company does the packing. However, I decided to do some packing myself and got several rolls of this paper. It's a little flimsy/thin, compared to more heavy duty type I've seen used by the movers. I had to use several sheets especially on delicate items or heavy crystal/glass items. It did the job and saved the paper and dropped it off at local moving CO to give customers for free use. Also got some packing boxes that did the job.

Is this regular newsprint or glossy?

Is this regular newsprint or glossy?
Asked by: Jo
This packing paper is basic newsprint style, non-glossy paper. I used it for a recent move, it wasn't too bulky but strong enough to keep everything safe!

I was told I need 25 lbs of packing paper. How many packages is that?

Asked by: Terri
Paper comes in a box and is measured by sheet count not by weight. You should determine how many pieces have to wraped up vs weight. Box weighs about same as ream of printing paper, approximate 3-4 lbs.
