Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for extra storage I bought this a few months ago after measuring an area where I wanted to put it. It was a perfect width, height, and depth. I also bought the stackable top cupboard as well and they both provide me with so much extra storage in my kitchen. I could only wish there were one more shelf provided with the bottom unit. Other than that, I am happy with the quality of the units. One caution. If you buy the upper unit, you need to drill holes for the door handles. Don't do as I did and drill left and right doors the same, before verifying where each goes. :( A little wood glue and colouring helped and the unit is high enough where it isn't super noticeable, but I would rather not have done that.!!

Recommend putting together in the room you plan to keep it as it is heavy once constructed. Packed well for shipping so no damage. Very pleased with prompt delivery. Very good value for the money as appears to be a more expensive cabinet than it is.

While assembling, I clumsily stepped on the toe kick piece, breaking it. I called Prepak customer service to order a replacement piece and they supplied the piece free of charge, even though it was my fault that it was broken! I was pleasantly surprised and would not hesitate to purchase from them again.

The only thing that stopped us from returning was that it was SO heavy that we didn't want to have to carry it again, and disassemble, we had waited WEEKS for it to arrive. So dissatisfied. Save yourself the trouble, and money, and buy used.

Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars; instead of 5 is ... the metal handle bars on the front didn't align exactly. One seems slightly higher than the other - even though doors are properly aligned. This might be unique to our unit ... but an fyi.

Is this cabinet sturdy enough to store tools

I use it as a food pantry and store quite a few cans on the shelf . I did switch out the pegs to the metal ones. Been using it for 2 plus years now.
