Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad but not great I like the light, it does what it's supposed to. There are 2 other almost identical lights on the Home Depot web site, one in the $45 range, and another in the $65 range. I am hard pressed to know what the difference is between these 2 lights and the one I bought for $125. Next time, I would recommend the less expensive versions, since I can't really tell what I paid 2 to 3 times more for.

This is fluorescent bulb correct? Is it very bright or would it suit a hallway in a house?

We have bought two of these for our hallway in the 2nd floor and are concerned that a fluorescent bulb might be too much or too industrial for this kind of area. Any thoughts.

My opinion is that it will not be too industrial. The bulb supplied with the fixture is "bright white" (technically a 3500K color) - if that color is too bright for your space, try a "warm white" (2700K) bulb.

How is this light mounted?

We have moved into a new home, and would like to remove this light. however I am having problems figuring out how the light is mounted....any suggestions.

Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. Remove the 3 thumb screws on the face side of the fixture and it will slide down. Thanks!
